Each of the white earthenware doilies in the Doily Series is incised and carved by hand with geometric designs resembling the fiber works which inspired them. At the close of this body of work there will be twenty-three doilies total. This number correlates with the average age of motherhood in my homestate of Oklahoma and coincidently was also the age that I became a mother.
